PAL racing tries to work with the youth in our community to knock down the barriers that sometimes exist between youth and police officers.
Boise PAL does this by participating in all six of the local high school drags held each year at Firebird Raceway. We participate in a nationwide program called, Beat The Heat, where the teenagers can race against the police and can win prizes and t-shirts.
We also help promote drag racing and autocross racing as a way to try and reduce the amount of street racing that occurs on our local streets. This makes it safer for the teenagers and our families, when we can get the kids racing on the tracks and not on the streets.
Boise PAL racing also promotes the buckle up or "Click It or Ticket,"  campaigns as well as the , "Don't Drink and Drive," campaign to reduce the number of drunk drivers on our streets.
We also identify several children in our community that need the positive influences that a police friendship can offer, and take them to the races free of charge. The program would not exist if it were not for the many businesses and sponsors who contribute to our program.
